IT Holiday Camp from 07.04. to 11.04.

Games consoles, mobile phones, calculators - wherever we look, computers dominate our everyday lives. They not only help us to solve complicated tasks, they also make our lives easier. But how do computers actually work? How are they constructed and how are they programmed?

In our IT holiday camp, we will get to the bottom of these questions. Together we will experiment with microcontrollers and build electrical circuits. Using simple programming languages, we will show you how to teach a computer new commands and how you can even use them to control a robot!

You don't need any previous knowledge of electrical engineering or programming for this holiday camp.

If you are curious, then visit our holiday camp - a good mood, lots of exciting knowledge and catering is provided!

Monday

Discover IT: Science rally with program(s)

To kick off our holiday camp, we are going on an exciting discovery tour through the EXPERIMINTA ScienceCenter! Over 120 interactive experimental stations invite you to discover and explore.Otherwise we won't be able to crack the code for the treasure chest. During this fun adventure tour, we get to know our museum from a whole new perspective.

Afterwards, we playfully get to grips with the Scratch programming language and find out what language computers speak and how they can understand us.

Tuesday

Tech-Lab: Creative Projects with Scratch and Arduino

The next day, we will dive further into IT and develop our first small programs. After learning the basics of software with Scratch, we now move on to the hardware. We will use the “ARDUINO” microcontroller to operate various sensors and learn how to wire them up.

In our technology lab, we can try out (almost) everything and design it ourselves. Here we can program everything according to our wishes - from a traffic light to a clock to a smart home!

Wednesday

Let's Code it! - Programming with ease

Half-time at the IT holiday camp! With the knowledge gained from the first few days, we want to get everything out of “ARDUINO” that we can. Now it's time to put all the pieces of the puzzle together and complete our program. To do this, we collect various signals with the help of sensors, have them processed by our self-written program and receive our first outputs.

Whether you prefer to invent your own game, control a robot or create cool animations - there are no limits to your imagination with Scratch!

Thursday

mBot-Explorer - Discover the world of robots

A real highlight awaits you on the fourth day of our holiday camp! We will see the cool mBot robots in action and learn how to control and program them. These little robots are real all-rounders. They are equipped with various sensors that allow them to perceive their surroundings. This means that the robots to drive on their own, avoid obstacles, follow lines or react to light. At the end of the day, we might even organize a robot race!

Friday

Mission Code-plete: The final tech day!

At the end of the holiday camp, you will have the chance to work extensively on your favourite topic again. We repeat everything we have learned this week and can continue working on our projects or implement completely new ideas.

Now we have the opportunity to continue programming, wiring and researching!

Note on the schedule: The planned program will be flexibly adapted to the interests and wishes of the children, so there may be some changes from the schedule presented here.

Note on Registration

Registration is possible only via the German website. Please remark any allergies or intolerances in the registration so that we can take these into account when selecting the lunch. Click here to register.
