Her vision for “Women in STEM”

Women should confidently recognize and leverage their own strengths. They shouldn’t accept any limits and should believe they can achieve anything! It’s also important to take the initiative to educate themselves and develop their own paths without bias.

Did you have a clear idea of what your future would look like when you were a child?

Since I grew up in a family of craftsmen, craftsmanship has always been a part of my life. I can’t say for sure whether, as a child sitting on my grandfather’s lap in the workshop, I was already thinking about pursuing a creative career in the trades later on. After graduating from high school, I considered various options and ultimately decided to pursue an apprenticeship as a painter and varnisher. Looking back, that was the right decision, and I found exactly what I’m still passionate about doing today.

I think that my father and grandfather served as role models who shaped me as a child. The fact that I ultimately chose to pursue a trade was my own decision, and my parents had no influence on it whatsoever.

I enjoy the variety of my entrepreneurial activities. There are many roles to fill, such as leadership, finance, customer service and consulting, planning, creativity, business development, social media, and, last but not least, administrative tasks. In all these areas, I can work and make decisions independently, and develop my business according to my own vision.

Purposefulness, tenacity, humor, flexibility, and groundedness. Also, the urge to tackle things and bring about change, and the will to commit myself.

Women should confidently recognize and leverage their own strengths. They should accept no boundaries and believe themselves capable of anything! It is also crucial to take the initiative to inform oneself and to forge one’s own paths with an open mind.
